FAQ

Is this site endorsed by Judge Williams, Sotomayor or Rendell?
No. This site is in no way endorsed by or connected to the qualifying candidates. When we say "unofficial", we mean TOTALLY unofficial.

Is the blogger who runs this site personally connected to Judge Ann Claire Williams, Judge Sonia Sotomayor or Judge Marjorie Rendell?
No. Julene Allen of www.womenforaction.org has never met Judge Ann Claire Williams, Judge Sonya Sotomayor or Judge Marjorie Rendell, and she has not heard of them until she did some research in November 2008.

Has the draft picks expressed or implied any interest in the U.S. Supreme Court?
As far as it is known, the draft picks have not publicly informed their desire for the U.S. Supreme Court.

Isn't it a little early to be talking about the U.S. Supreme Court?
Yes. However, if any current U.S. Supreme Court Judge expresses their desire to retire their seat, Judge Williams, Judge Sotomayor and Judge Rendell would be viable candidates for the position. The selection can possibly be a lengthy process and it would be a good idea for those who support the above Judges to express who they would like to select NOW!

Do you aspire to force the President to pick Judge Ann Claire Williams, Judge Sonia Sotomayor or Judge Marjorie Rendell?
No. The goal of this site is merely to show the political establishment that the above judges would be a good choice, because they probably wouldn't consider her otherwise. It is the belief of this site that the President will like what he sees if reviewed Judge Ann Claire Williams, Judge Sonia Sotomayor or Judge Marjorie Rendell and add to his short list of perspective US Supreme Court Judges if and when needed. However, the President must select a US Supreme Court Judge that he believes is best for the country, not the one that a bunch of bloggers told him to.

Do you really think that the petition can affect the selection process for the U.S. Supreme Court?
Well, that really depends on you, the Americans and the supporters. If there is a lot of support for a Judge Ann Claire Williams, Judge Sonia Sotomayor or Judge Marjorie Rendell draft, then TOGETHER we can have an effect on the political process. Is it going to be easy? No, but it is far from impossible. The power of the web to influence events just as it did in supporting President Elect Obama. Maybe it will make an impact, maybe it won’t, but it is certainly worth a good college try.

Did someone already attempt this?
Yes, as a matter of fact, Adam Brickley created a blog to draft Governor Palin for Vice President in 2006. Palin’s supporters got in involved with the process. I believe and I may not be correct by stating this, that Governor Palin was eventually reviewed by John McCain’s camp as a result. His blog is still going at http://palinforvp.blogspot.com . By no means, this is an endorsement of her candidacy, just the drafting process.
